Where can I park my car? my bike? my RV?
There is ample parking on the street and in rear lots throughout the district. Since the area is so "walkable", we encourage you to park once and walk as much as you can. During business hours there are paymeters mantained by the city of Albuquerque located on each block.

Handicapped parking spaces are designated around Dartmouth and Central NE, Amherst and Central (north and south) and in private lots for the banks, antique malls and Hiland Theater.

Bicycle racks are located around the Nob Hill Business Center (Central & Amherst) and on a few private lots, many more are located around the neighborhood.
RV's are best parked on side streets and in lots.

What are the stores' hours?
This is a late starting and late closing district. Most stores and galleries open at 10 or 11 am and stay open until 6 or later. Extended hours are kept by the grocery store, some cafes, quick marts and pharmacies.

The first Friday of the month many businesses stay open till 9 pm. Many stores and galleries are open Sundays between 11 or noon and 4 or 5 pm for Sunday Stroll. Some restaurants are only open for dinner or only breakfast and lunch---check their web sites or call ahead if you are going somewhere in particular.

What is there to do in Nob Hill-Highland?
It's easier to answer what can't you do here. See our MarketPlace Directory and What's Going On.

Is there anything for children to do?

Are there any safety concerns?
As with any major shopping center, normal precautions should be taken:

  • Put bags and everything of value out of sight or in the trunk of your car
  • lock your vehicle (including bikes)
  • park on the busier, well-lit commercial streets and lots
  • don't encourage panhandlers
  • and don't put yourself or your property in risky situations

If asked, some larger businesses will send someone to escort patrons and visitors to their vehicles at night.
