NOB HILL WALKING TOUR: Saturday, July 24, 11:00am

Nob Hill Main Street will host a walking tour exploring the link between Route 66 and the development of Nob Hill. The walk is in conjunction with Nob Hill Main Street’s Route 66 Days and Nights.

Led by Gary Eyster, the tour will focus on how “the Mother Road” came to be and how the commercial district of Nob Hill developed in response to it. We will look at a number of streetscapes and well-preserved historic buildings discussing how they create Nob Hill’s sense of place.

The walk will begin at the 1937 Nob Hill Court, 3712 Central Ave, at 11 am. It will will last an hour and a half and end near the 1939 Jones Motor Company (Kelly’s Brew Pub). Sun protection and water are recommended.

NOB HILL HISTORY EXHIBIT: The Nob Hill Court location will also house "a legend runs though it" an Albuquerque musuem exhibit on the history of Nob Hill and Route 66 in Albuquerque - this is also the event headquarters and information area.
